7 Audre Lorde quotes that will give you life

Audre Lorde has been an influential figure to me for some time. As a poet, writer, activist, womanist and intersectional champion, her works are diverse and thought-provoking. Writing on topics from anger, to racism and homophobia, Audre is fascinating to say the least. For example, at a very young age she rejected the ‘Y’ that was attached to the end of Audrey (becoming Audre) because she didn’t like how the letter hanged below the line. Deliberation and an understanding of how words can influence change, Audre Lorde should be next on all of your reading lists. Here are some of the quotes that keep my feministy fire alive.
